A New Day Every Day

While watching Scarlett eat lunch yesterday, I realized that whenever she eats cheese, she talks. A LOT. My mom thinks she talks a lot all the time, but somehow cheese especially brings out the chatterbox in her.

Here are a few random pictures from our first days here: Scarlett helping her dad paint Hey! Get outta my way! The cabinets are just her size! The U-Haul. UGH. I was so glad to see this thing go!

On one of our last days at the old house, Scarlett had a great time running through the sprinklers and playing in the dirt. She threw a fit when we made her come inside!

You might have wondered where I've been... MOVING. It's exhausting!! Anyway, so we're finally getting settled so expect an update soon. We love our new house, but we hate the work involved! I remember when I was in college, when moving was just loading up my Honda Civic and going around the corner. And I thought THAT was hard work. Anyway, so hope everyone's well!!

Just thought I'd share something pretty cool... for the last little while Juan and I have been working with Scarlett on the sign for "night-night". Yesterday in the afternoon she signed it for me, and I said, "Do you want to go night-night?" and she did it again. So I put her in crib, and NO FUSS. She fell right asleep. And today she's done it twice, both times unprompted!! Already it's making naps so much easier because I don't have to guess when she wants one, she can tell me! I LOVE signing!!! Anyway, just thought I'd share my good news!!

Shana and I have started a new blog about some of our favorite things... no, not our kids, our books!!
