A New Day Every Day

This is borrowed from Shana's blog, but I loved it so much I had to post it too! Scarlett's smiling at her cousin, only to be used for her pacifier!

We went to the Whole Earth Festival in Davis over the weekend. There were a lot of hippies and a lot of patchouli. Scarlett only gave us a limited amount of time there before informing us she wanted to go home. So home we went!! (but it was fun while it lasted) Scarlett and Dad playing "elevator" Scarlett and Dad playing "airplane" I love to chat!! I'm a ballerina!! Lettie and Dad, chillin' out I am a bad blogger!!! This has taken me awhile to update, and I don't even have an excuse because Scarlett is such a good baby. Oh, sure, she has her moments... (usually between 6 PM and 8 PM, or whenever Juan and I want to sit down and have dinner) but for the most part we've decided that we've hit the jack pot with babies! She's such a smiley, happy little thing. We're really enjoying watching her discover her hands or become fascinated by the cats. She still hasn't made the move to her crib, mostly because I love having her with me too m...

At my baby shower, we recieved a baby activity mat that Scarlett has paid very little attention to until this week. Now she loves it! We can put her in it and she giggles and loves the dangly little toys. She's even started grabbing for them! Mostly she just bats at the them with her fists, but the other morning I caught her opening her hand and grabbing at one of the little toys. I was so excited, you'd think she'd just cured cancer or something... Well, who knows? That could be next!! Scarlett reaching for a toy playing at being shy and pulling the blanket up by her face! Completely absorbed by the colors and lights! And, on a completely different note, here's Scarlett all dressed up for Emily and Philip's wedding! She looks really cute in blue, and it's sooo much fun to put her hair in ribbons!
