baby pictures

Image
Scarlett's starting to smile, so I tried to catch some. The bath picture I put in just because of her rolls. Oh, one day she's really going to hate us! She's getting really strong-- she can hold her head up with only minimum wobble and can even stand a little on her legs when we hold her. It's so fun to see each little change as it occurs, and we get so excited it's like she's the first baby to ever do these things!

Grandma's birthday

Image
Last night we went to my parent's house for my Grandma's 88th birthday. We had a lot of fun! Scarlett enjoyed meeting her Soza family! She was such a good baby-- she hardly fussed or cried (except for when she was hungry!) I guess this baby likes to party! Scarlett is lucky to have such a large, close extended family. Scarlett with Auntie Alyssa She likes the view over Grandpa's shoulder! Four generations of Soza women Aunt Peggy and Scarlett Grandma with Scarlett. This is her sixth great grandchild! Nana with Scarlett

Scarlett's mohawk

Image
Scarlett's mohawk is big news. It's true, her hair does prefer to grow up and in rather than in long lustrous waves. Will she grow out of it? I don't know, but it's awfully funny now! (This is a crabby face, but definitely a good hair shot)

Cute baby!

BBQ at Nana and Grandpa's

Image
Friday night we headed over to my folk's house for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun and a great way to celebrate the warm weather. Scarlett really enjoyed all the Spoiled-by-Nana and Grandpa-time!! The boys playing yard golf or "yolf" as Juan likes to call it.

Scarlett's grounded!

Scarlett's in trouble... she hasn't let me sleep for about a week now. I think she's having fun with it. She's like, it's nighttime! It's time to rock n roll! Juan gets to snooze away (because of this whole "paying the bills" thing, I think it's just an excuse) while I beg the baby to close her pretty little eyes. (Although I'm not always so sweet at four am) More pictures, anyway: Scarlett likes her baths. We think it reminds her of floating around in the womb.

who needs dignity at two weeks old?

Scarlett loves to be swaddled. Last night she wasn't happy until we swaddled her so tight her face exploded over the top of the cloth. Needless to say it was pretty funnY!! This is what happens when Mom falls asleep and leaves the baby (and her poor hair) in Dad's hands!!

She's so cute I could just eat her!!
